Job description

As an Accounts Executive, you will play a key role in managing and maintaining the financial records of our trading company. You will be responsible for handling accounting tasks using our ERP system, preparing financial documents, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Your role will involve updating accounting records, managing payments and petty cash, and liaising with banks and auditors. You will also support various administrative functions as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations.

Your responsibilities
  • Update all accounting records through the ERP system.
  • Prepare payment vouchers, issue cheques, and initiate online banking payments.
  • Ensure all records and filing are kept up to date.
  • Record and maintain a full set of accounts.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial management reports for submission to headquarters within deadlines.
  • Prepare payments to vendors.
  • Manage the petty cash fund.
  • Process staff’s monthly expense claims.
  • Liaise with banks on instalment payments, currency purchases, and other banking services.
  • Handle insurance matters related to company vehicles, office, staff personal accidents, and medical coverage.
  • Maintain proper records for company vehicles, including road tax renewals.
  • Assist auditors during year-end financial audits.
  • Process sales orders and billing for machines, spare parts, and services.
  • Follow up with debtors on collections.
  • Support service administration as assigned by management.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

  • You have a good command of both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
