Job summary

A multinational manufacturing company in Kulai, Johor, is seeking an Accounts Executive to manage full-set accounting operations. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards and statutory regulations while providing financial analysis and insights. Job description
Company Background:

We are representing a multinational manufacturing company in the automotive industry based in Kulai, Johor. As they are setting up their new manufacturing line in Malaysia, they are looking for an Accounts Executive to join their team.

Job Requirements:
  • Handle full-set accounting, including but not limited to general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, and cash management
  • Ensure all accounting vouchers and records comply with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and company policies
  • Complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing on time, and prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements
  • Prepare regular management reports to provide accurate financial analysis and business insights to management
  • Accurately calculate and timely file all statutory taxes, including Income Tax, SST, WHT and PCB
  • Manage interactions with tax authorities (IRB/LHDN) to ensure full compliance with Malaysian tax regulations
  • Support oversight of operating costs, analyze cost variances, and propose improvements
  • Lead or coordinate statutory audits and liaise with external auditors, providing required documentation promptly
Requirements & Details:
  • MinimumDegree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of full-set accounting experience and strong knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations, MFRS, and Companies Act
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., AutoCount, SQL Accounting, etc.)
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin communication skills preferred for liaison with headquarters
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
