Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Associate to join our team at Fusion Partners (Australia) in Kuala Lumpur. As a full-time position, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' accounting and finance needs.

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining and reconciling general ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial records
• Being assigned to a portfolio of clients outsourced from Australia
• Preparing the year-end financial statements and tax filing
• Preparing quarterly or monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS/GST)
• Providing support for audit
• Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Liaising with clients, the Australian Tax Office, and various Australian Government departments if necessary
• Implementing and improving accounting processes and controls

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in a similar account or bookkeeping role, preferably in a professional services firm
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Strong proficiency in accounting software, such as Xero, MYOB or Quickbook
