Job description
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Handle full set of Manufacturing Account.
  • Calculate standard rates for labour and overhead, and discussing with Operations on hours usage for efficiency purpose.
  • Calculate finished goods and work in progress costing, and analyse variances and margins by product, making strategic suggestions to the management for process improvement and prepare regular cost reports for management.
  • Manage and control manufacturing variances including efficiency/waste/labor/material usage variances.
  • Monitor and reconcile inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Maintain and update accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely submission of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Collaborate with department heads and assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legal requirements, and company policies.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits.
  • Manage cash flow by monitoring daily transactions and preparing cash flow projections.
  • Work closely with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax filings.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support other ad-hoc analysis and reporting requirements.
  • Any other task that may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
  • Minimum Degree in Accountancy/Finance. Professional accountancy qualified (ACCA/CIMA/CPA) will be a greater advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in manufacturing accounting (good understanding of standard costing and variance analysis). Thorough knowledge in product costing, variance analysis, inventory reconciliation and inventory count.
  • Possess a strong level of analytical skills, numeracy, and strong financial and accounting understanding.
  • Ability to work independently under fast pace environment with minimal supervision.
