About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Accounts and Tax Senior Associate to lead and manage client accounting and tax engagements. This full-time role involves overseeing the work of junior staff, reviewing financial statements and tax filings, and providing expert advice to clients.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Leading and managing accounting and tax engagements for a portfolio of clients
  • Reviewing and finalizing financial statements (e.g. balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements)
  • Overseeing and reviewing tax computations and filings for both individuals and corporations
  • Providing expert tax planning and advisory services to clients
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Reviewing general ledger reconciliations and resolving complex accounting issues
  • Guiding, training, and supervising junior team members to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Liaising with clients to address queries and provide professional advice
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and supporting implementation of accounting system enhancements
  • Staying updated with changes in tax laws and accounting standards
What We’re Looking For
  • A degree in Accounting or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) are highly advantageous
  • Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting and taxation, preferably in a professional services or accounting firm
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations (including Malaysian tax laws)
  • Proven ability to manage client portfolios and lead junior staff
  • High level of accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Autocount, SQL, or related platforms
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage clients and team members
  • Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines
