Job description

We are currently looking for suitably qualified candidates aspiring to excel and take on leadership position within accountancy and corporate service provider outfit to join our Business Solutions division as Accounting Supervisor/Team Leader.

Responsibilities
  • Assist Manager/Director in onboarding and setting up of new engagement.
  • Supervise a team of professional staff in handling partial/full set of clients' accounts for a portfolio of companies, including day to day finance function such as AR & AP processing, payroll, bookkeeping, accounting, GST reporting and month end closing.
  • Review management accounts and reporting packages prepared by team members;
  • Oversee and/or execute the consolidation of financial statements and more complex accounting and financial reporting assignments;
  • Compilation of financial statements in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards;
  • Work hand in hand with managers, research, analyse and propose solutions to address accounting issues, if any;
  • Handle consultancy and business advisory projects upon assignment; and
  • Undertaking ad-hoc assignments assigned from time to time.
Requirements
  • At least 6 years working experience in accountancy sector of which at least 3 years in external audit or accounting/outsourcing within corporate service providers. Those with a mixture of experience as accountant in practice and accountant in business are welcome to apply.
  • Degree in Accountancy, Singapore CA, ACCA, CPA Australia or their equivalent.
  • Well-verse with SFRS or IFRS and generally acceptable accounting practices.
  • Good knowledge of internal control within accounting system;
  • Sincere and committed, good time management and problem-solving skill, resourceful, proactive, able to work independently within fast-paced environment, effective verbal and written communication skill.
  • Position is based in Malaysia.
