A leading integrated solutions company in Malaysia seeks an experienced accounting professional. The role requires managing a full set of accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements, and supporting financial administration. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a minimum of three years of experience, and proficiency in accounting software like SAP or Oracle. Manage full set accounting tasks including AP/AR processing, invoice issuance, payment processing, and monthly aging for multiple locations (Malaysia, Hong Kong).
Prepare and post journal entries including accruals, prepayments, payroll, bank charges, and month-end adjustments.
Reconcile balance sheet items including bank accounts, inventory, WIP, and intercompany balances.
Maintain fixed assets register with monthly depreciation, additions, and disposals.
Coordinate and assist in yearly audits, tax filings, transfer pricing, and statutory compliance including annual returns and business license renewals.
Prepare and process bank transactions including wire transfers, bank statement reconciliation, and bank book updates.
Manage intercompany offsets and reconcile balances monthly.
Support project accounting by creating project numbers, updating billing sheets, and monitoring revenue milestones.
Obtain monthly exchange rates from Central Bank Malaysia and update in the accounting system (CSI) at the beginning of each month.
Process weekly timesheets through the Infoportal system.
Manage customer orders by sending order confirmations, coordinating pick lists, maintaining order tracking, and preparing customer quotations.
Update labor standard rates as required.
Coordinate subcontractor timesheets and liaise with vendors for invoice preparation.
Handle procurement activities including issuing purchase orders for interdivisional hour charges and spare parts, closing project sub-assemblies, and stock jobs.
Prepare and submit withholding tax documentation in compliance with regulations.
Assist with preparation and implementation of the upcoming e-invoicing process.
Participate in yearly physical inventory stock counts and perform stock miscellaneous issues and receipts.
Ensure compliance with pioneer status and assist in audit preparations.
Manage company secretary matters such as director appointments/resignations and address changes.
Prepare lease supplementary letters and manage lease-related documentation.
Execute accounting duties such as timesheet processing, staff reimbursement compilation, and general financial administration.
Carry out additional duties as assigned by the immediate superior, primarily supporting accounting functions and related financial administrative tasks.
