Polaris Oil Sdn Bhd is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Senior Executive to manage the full set of accounts and oversee key financial tasks in our SME environment. The successful candidate will independently handle monthly financial closings, collaborate with the operations team to forecast upcoming transactions, and ensure accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle the full set of accounts, including general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate recording of all transactions (e.g., payments, receipts, and journal entries).
• Maintain well-organized accounting records and filing systems for compliance and audits.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, including reconciliations for bank accounts, inter-company balances, accounts receivables, and payables.
• Collaborate with the operations team to understand transaction schedules and prepare a one-month cash flow forecast.
• Liaise with external parties such as bankers, auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries.
• Support the annual audit process and assist with tax submissions.
• Perform ad-hoc assignments as required by management.

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Accountancy, Finance, Banking, or a related field.

Experience

3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting, with proven expertise in handling the full set of accounts.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and experience with accounting software (SQL proficiency is an advantage).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to use the company cloud system for internal communication.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and meet deadlines.
