Job summary

Maple Business Management (M) Sdn Bhd in Damansara, Selangor is seeking a junior accounting professional. The role requires a diploma or degree in accounting/finance and 1–3 years of accounting or audit experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

You will maintain full sets of accounts, assist in audits, prepare reports, and liaise with auditors and tax agents. Strong Excel skills, English and Mandarin communication, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting or audit experience preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of accounting, taxation, and audit procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with accounting software is an added advantage.
• Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate well in English and Mandarin (both written and spoken).
• Responsible, able to work independently, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a full set of accounts including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports.
• Assist in audit preparation and liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretary.
• Monitor cash flow, prepare payment schedules, and ensure timely settlement of obligations.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and other statutory requirements.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports as required by management.
• Participate in continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
