Job summary

A multinational manufacturing firm in Johor is looking for an experienced finance professional to manage financial reporting and tax compliance. The ideal candidate has at least 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, preferably within a manufacturing environment, along with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements and maintain the fixed assets register.
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audits.
• Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate tax and withholding tax.
• Ensure proper documentation and internal controls related to accounting and taxation.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation.

Company Overview

Our client is a newly set up MNC manufacturing company in Pasir Gudang, Johor Bahru. The plant is under construction.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial statements and maintain the fixed assets register, including depreciation schedules and reconciliations
• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate audits and respond to audit queries in a timely and professional manner
• Prepare and file tax returns, including corporate tax, transfer pricing, and withholding tax
• Perform accurate tax and deferred tax computations in compliance with the Income Tax Act
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and provide timely updates and recommendations to management
• Assist in implementing process improvements for financial reporting and tax compliance
• Ensure proper documentation and internal controls related to accounting and taxation
• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as needed

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Professional certification such as ACCA or CPA is strongly preferred Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, ideally within a manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments and with external stakeholders
