Job summary

Vistra is seeking an Accountant based in Kuala Lumpur as part of a full-time permanent role. The position reports to the Team Lead/Assistant Manager and is located in Bangsar South, Kuala Lumpur with local/regional coverage to drive growth in Financial Accounting.

The role involves bookkeeping, monthly closings, reporting, and tax computations, with a focus on accuracy, timely delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in accounting or finance, or pursuing ACCA/MIA/CPA.
• Fresh graduate or 1 year of accounting/finance experience.
• Proficient in Mandarin and English; able to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in client service or SSC environment is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Book-keeping and accounting entries in the accounting system (e.g., accruals, adjustments).
• Timely preparation of accounts – weekly, month-end, year-end closing and aging/listings.
• Work independently on accounting and management reports and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Prepare accounting reports and deliverables within agreed timelines.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Meet Business Unit/client requirements and ensure on-time, on-quality deliverables.
• Prepare manual journal entries at month-end with supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly income tax calculation if required.
• Handle ad hoc activities as assigned.
