Job summary

A multinational corporation located in Penang, Malaysia, is looking for an accounting professional to assist in monthly closing activities, prepare journal entries, and coordinate Capex requests. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent with 1-2 years of experience, preferably in MNCs. Strong communication skills and knowledge of Oracle are advantageous. Job Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly closing activities and prepare journal entries.
• Coordinate Capex requests and review fixed assets entries to ensure proper capitalization.
• Assist in monthly forecasting and yearly master plan.
• Assist in quarterly schedule and reporting to Corporate.
• Assist in quarterly tax package and yearly IRB tax submission.
• Assist with both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
• Handle staff and travelling claims.
• Prepare monthly cash flow forecast and projection.
• Analyze and control major overhead spending compared to forecast and budget.
• Handle any ad‑hoc tasks assigned by team leader or manager in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum of 1‑2 years relevant experience, preferably in MNCs.
• Self‑started, flexible, ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Oracle is an added advantage.
