The accountant is responsible for managing the full spectrum of financial operations, ensuring compliance with Malaysian accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role supports strategic decision-making through accurate reporting, analysis, and financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and commentaries.
  • Provide financial insights and analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decisions.
Accounting Operations
  • Manage the full accounting cycle: accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, inventory, and bank reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month‑end and year‑end closing.
  • Maintain and update schedules for fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, deposits, loans, and interest.
Cash Flow & Treasury
  • Monitor daily cash inflows and outflows to ensure optimal liquidity and fund availability.
  • Oversee bank loans, interest payments, and fund transfers in line with management instructions.
  • Plan and manage cash flow to support operational needs.
Compliance & Controls
  • Ensure adherence to Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards (MPERS), SST submission, and e‑invoicing regulations.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for audit readiness and internal controls.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and bankers to provide necessary documentation and support.
Inventory Management
  • Monitor stock levels, maintain accurate records, and coordinate replenishment as needed.
Asset & Insurance Management
  • Maintain the Fixed Assets Register and coordinate insurance coverage for company assets.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Collaborate with internal teams and management to provide financial data and support.
  • Handle ad hoc assignments and contribute to cross‑functional initiatives.
Required Skills & Attributes
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian Accounting Standards and regulatory frameworks.
  • Detail‑oriented with excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • High integrity, self‑motivation, and ability to work under time pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.
  • Hands‑on, proactive, and capable of multitasking.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
