Job Summary: As an Accountant at Swift, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for the assigned entities globally. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting and reporting (primarily IFRS), excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to achieve organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial documentation in compliance with IFRS and local GAAP.
Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements.
Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
Tax Compliance: Oversee tax compliance activities, including the preparation and submission of tax returns, and ensure adherence to local tax regulations.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Global processes: Overseeing global processes and ensuring controls are properly designed and implemented. Collaborate with the business owners to drive further efficiencies and improvements.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various departments, including IT, Legal, and Operations, to support business initiatives and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in financial controlling, with a strong background in financial reporting, audit and internal controls. Experience with budgeting and forecasting is a plus.
Public accounting: Prior experience with Big4 or regional accounting firms is desired.

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (SAP)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in the financial services industry.
Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
Experience with tax compliance and audit coordination.
Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
