A local listed company is seeking an Accounting Assistant to manage accounts, produce financial reports, and assist with audits. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Accountancy and proficiency in accounting software. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant working experience in audit or accounting field.
- Good understanding of principles and procedures of bookkeeping and basic accounting.
Responsibilities
- Posting entries, reconciling accounts payable and receivable.
- Producing accounting reports and analyzing financial information.
- Assisting in financial statement preparation and tax audits.
Skills
Knowledge of AutoCount accounting system
Proficiency in computer skills
Microsoft Office
Education
Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy

Job Scope:
- Posting entries, reconciling accounts payable and receivable, and handling bookkeeping and accounts closing matters of the company.
- Producing accounting reports, analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status.
- Participate in financial forecasting.
- Assisting in financial statement and producing budgets.
- Assisting with tax audits and tax returns.
- Liaising with external auditors, company secretary and tax agent.
- Handling payments (such as salary, claims, and other payment equivalents by company)
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly cash flows and bank reconciliation.
- Handling a full set of accounts, either independently or with accountant’s assistance.
- Ensure application and compliance of internal controls and operating procedures.
- Handle administrative matters of the Department.
- Performing ad hoc tasks or other assignments when required by The Management.
Qualification:
- Education:Diploma/ Degree in Accountancy or certificate equivalent qualification
- Skills:Knowledge of AutoCount accounting system or its equivalent, Proficiency in computer skills and Microsoft Office packages
- Years of Experience:2 years of relevant working experience in audit or accounting field
- Language Proficiency (Spoken):English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia
- Language Proficiency (Written):English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia
- Others:Good understanding of principles and procedures of bookkeeping and basic accounting
- Personal Attributes: Good team player, attention to detail, ability to multitask, strong organization skills.
- Ability to work independently and flexible with a good attitude
