Job Overview

ABB, a global leader in power and automation technologies, is looking for a Senior Account Manager to drive share of wallet growth, profitability and customer satisfaction for its Energy Industries Business in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Work Model & Location

Hybrid work model. Location: Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and Statement of Work growth actions.
  • Understanding key business drivers, including sustainability, digital and cybersecurity risks, and translating them into impact and opportunities for ABB.
  • Participating in the development of sales strategies for the account through current and long‑term business plans for the customer.
  • Defining sales targets, giving input on market price developments, monitoring competitors and ensuring appropriate response strategies are implemented.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or related field).
  • 8–12 years of experience in consultative technical sales, ideally within power generation, energy or industrial automation sectors.
  • Familiarity with critical power systems, energy infrastructure and data centre – advantage.
  • Proven ability to manage long sales cycles and engage senior‑level stakeholders (consultants, contractors, distributors).
  • Excellent communication skills, positive attitude and customer‑management proficiency.
