Job description

Silver Maxlink Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Account/Finance Manager to join our team in Seberang Jaya, Penang. This is a full‑time position that will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial accounting and reporting functions.

What you’ll be doing
  • Preparing and analysing financial statements (monthly, quarterly and annually), including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports and reports, taxes, budgets, forecasts to support strategic decision‑making and management & statutory audit reporting
  • Monitoring and controlling expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary targets
  • Identifying cost‑saving opportunities and implementing measures to improve financial performance
  • Managing the general ledger, accounts payable, and receivable to maintain liquidity
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Providing financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision‑making
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Coordinate and liaise with retail operations on the supply & integrity of inventory information including cyclic and stock‑take cost transactions
  • Implement risk management strategies and financial policies
  • Supporting the month‑end and year‑end close processes
  • Lead and supervise the finance team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to improve financial processes and controls
What we’re looking for
  • 8+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in the Retail industry
  • Strong knowledge of Financial Accounting & Reporting practices and principles
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and data analysis tools
  • Strong proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, technical accounting, project management and reporting
  • Proactive problem‑solving skills and the ability to make data‑driven decisions
  • Proven track record of leading and developing finance teams
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CIMA, ACCA) is preferred
