A leading recruitment agency in Malaysia is seeking an Account Executive/Senior Bookkeeper to prepare full sets of accounts and handle tax returns. Candidates should possess a degree in Accountancy and a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting. Knowledge of accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks is advantageous. Accountable for accounts: Prepare partial/full sets of accounts, ensuring accuracy and meeting client needs.
Submit tax returns: Handle SST/GST returns with the authorities, ensuring compliance.
Prepare financial statements: Assist in creating management accounts and unaudited financial statements on time.
Review workflow: Analyze current processes and suggest improvements for efficiency.
Ad-hoc tasks: Take on additional tasks as assigned to support the team.
Accounting degree: A Certificate/Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or equivalent is required.
Experience: Minimum 2 year working experience in accounting (AR&AP); candidates with no prior experience are welcomed to apply.
Knowledge: Basic understanding of accounting standards, policies, and statutory requirements.
Software skills: Familiarity with professional accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks.
