A leading resources company in Kuala Lumpur is looking for an Account Executive/Senior Account Executive to support the accounting team with various projects, maintain financial records, and assist in preparing financial statements. Applicants should have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance-related field. Attention to detail and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential for this role. This position offers a competitive compensation package based on experience.
Support the accounting team with various projects and tasks as needed.
Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
Maintain company ledgers and daily financial transactions.
Create financial documents such as bills, invoices, pay‑orders, payables, receivables and purchase orders.
Identify discrepancies in ledgers and accounts, tracking them to the source and correcting them.
Coordinate and manage payment and billing details of external service providers, contractors and vendors.
Verify payments and deposits made through the company account and coordinate with the bank.
Create daily reports for management and team members.
Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Assist with the processing of accounts payable and receivable.
Enter and verify the accuracy of financial transactions.
Perform bank reconciliations and other reconciling tasks as needed.
Maintain accuracy and organized financial records and documents.
Assist with budgeting as needed.
Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements.
Reconcile accounts in a timely manner.
Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas.
