Job summary

A leading company in Malaysia is seeking an Account Executive to handle full accounting functions including account preparation and compliance assurance. Candidates should have a Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, strong tax knowledge, and at least 2 years of relevant experience in Accounting and Finance. The position is based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, offering a full-time opportunity with teamwork emphasis.

Account Executive

Department: Accounting & Finance

Location: Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia

Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare a full set of accounts (GL, Inventory, Bank Recon). Prepare month‑end closing and daily accounting functions.
  • Resolve all accounting‑related operational issues and transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, company policies, and SOP.
  • Maintain accurate accounting entry into accounting systems, filing, and other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Assist in all spectrum of accounting functions, budget, and ad‑hoc projects as assigned.
  • Liaise with financial institutions, internal and external auditors, tax agents, and other statutory bodies on accounting and financial related matters.
Job Requirements
  • Qualification: Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Professional Accounting Certificates.
  • Industrial Background Preferred: Minimum 2 years of working experience in Accounting and Finance with trading activities.
  • Good accounting and tax knowledge.
  • Experience in the trading business is an added advantage.
  • Group‑level work experience and preference with regional exposure.
  • Willingness to be stationed at the Kota Kinabalu, Sabah office.
  • Good communication and ability to work in a team.
  • 1 Full‑Time position available.
