Job description
Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.

Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with department heads.

Ensure compliance with Malaysian financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.

Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation in accordance with accounting standards.

Process payroll and ensure timely submission of statutory contributions such as EPF, SOCSO, and EIS.

Manage cash flow and banking activities, including reconciliations and fund transfers.

Oversee procurement and expense tracking to ensure budget adherence and cost control.

Implement and maintain financial controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.

Support financial analysis for strategic planning, investment decisions, and operational improvements.

Prepare tax filings and liaise with tax consultants to ensure compliance and optimize tax efficiency.

Monitor financial performance indicators and provide insights to senior management.

Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and collections from clients and partners.

Assist in preparing financial documentation for accreditation and institutional audits.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Excellent communication skills in other languages than those 3 mentioned above is an advantage.
  • Malaysian nationality required.
