Job summary

A leading accounting firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accountant to handle the full set of accounts and prepare monthly financial reports. Candidates should hold at least a Higher Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Accounting, possess 2-4 years of working experience, and be proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software like AutoCount or Xero. The ideal candidate must be analytical, a good team player, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of working experience required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to start work immediately is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Handle full set of accounts.
  • Prepare monthly financial report and schedules.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Coordinate and verify work of subordinates.
  • Prepare and review SST return for accuracy.
  • Liaise with customers on accounting matters.
  • Communicate with external parties like auditors and tax agents.

Job Requirements
  • Must possess at least Higher Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Accounting;
  • At least 2-4years of working experience;
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Excel & Word/ Preferably AutoCount/ Xero Accounting).
  • Good team player and willing to learn.
  • Analytical, resourceful, organised, able to work independently with minimum supervision and under tight deadlines
  • Good spoken and written in English;

Job Responsibilities
  • Able to handle full set of accounts;
  • Prepare monthly financial report and accompanying schedule and reports;
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation on monthly basis;
  • Plans, coordinates, and verifies work of subordinates;
  • Prepare and review SST return and ensure accuracy and timely submission;
  • Able to liaise with customers on accounting matters;
  • Liaise with external parties eg. Auditors, tax agent, customs, etc.
  • Any other relevant duties as assigned from time to time.
