Job summary

A leading luxury fashion retailer is looking for an Account Executive in Kuala Lumpur. The role includes preparing accounts, managing daily transactions, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Ideal candidates will have at least a Diploma in Accountancy and 2-3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential. This position requires detail-oriented individuals who can work independently and effectively within a finance team.

Qualifications

  • Experience assisting with a full set of accounts is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of accounts and management reports.
  • Perform day-to-day accounting transactions, including AP/AR processing.
  • Support monthly reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor and process assigned tasks, including urgent requests.

Job description

Assist in the preparation of the full set of accounts, statutory schedules, management reports, and other accounting and finance‑related documentation.

Perform day‑to‑day accounting transactions, including AP/AR processing, journal entries, and monthly account reconciliations.

Support monthly balance sheet and profit & loss reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely closing.

Perform basic analytical checks on postings, cost centres, and variances, and highlight irregularities to the Senior Executive or Manager.

Ensure all accounting documents are properly maintained, filed, and updated in accordance with company policies.

Monitor and process assigned tasks, including urgent requests, within specified deadlines.

Provide support to the Finance team on audits, stock takes, and other ad‑hoc assignments as required by the immediate superior.

Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.

Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in accounting; experience assisting with a full set of accounts is an advantage.

Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel.

Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.

Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
