About the role

Fathom helps thousands of businesses and accountants across the world make better decisions through beautiful, visual reporting, forecasting, and consolidated insights. We’re part of The Access Group, one of the largest software companies in the UK, with a growing presence across APAC.

As a valued member of the Fathom sales team, in this key role, you’ll manage the full sales cycle - from generating pipeline and running discovery calls, to delivering tailored demonstrations and closing new subscriptions.

Please note that this role will cover East Coast Australia hours

About You

In your Account Executive role, you’ll work directly with business owners, CFO’s, finance managers and accountants across Australia, New Zealand and the wider APAC region. You’ll help our Access customers to simplify and scale their reporting and forecasting processes using Fathom.

Blending consultative sales with product expertise, you’ll be supported by a collaborative, insight-driven sales team, where customer outcomes and success always come first.

Day-to‑day, you will be focused on:
  • Managing the end‑to‑end sales process for SMB customers, from first touch to subscription.
  • Generating pipeline through inbound trials, outbound prospecting, and follow‑up activity.
  • Running discovery sessions to understand customer goals and tailor demos accordingly.
  • Delivering clear, impactful product demonstrations that highlight value and solve problems.
  • Handling objections confidently and guiding customers through the decision‑making process.
  • Collaborating with Customer Success Managers to ensure smooth handovers and great onboarding experiences.
  • Maintaining accurate deal and activity tracking in HubSpot and Clari Copilot.
Your skills and experiences might also include:
  • 1 to 3+ years’ experience in SaaS sales or a customer‑facing commercial role.
  • A curious, consultative mindset. You’re great at uncovering problems and guiding people toward solutions.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Familiarity with financial concepts such as management reporting, cash flow forecasting, or multi‑entity consolidation (is a big plus to success in this role)
  • Confidence in using modern sales tools and automation platforms.
  • Motivation to consistently hit and exceed sales and activity targets.
