Job description

We are looking for a meticulous and responsible Senior Account Executive to manage day-to-day accounting tasks in a fast-paced construction environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to handle full set accounts and support project-related financial activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle full set of accounts: AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, and journal entries
  • Monitor project costing and perform job/project profitability tracking
  • Prepare monthly management reports, financial statements, and cash flow reports
  • Process supplier invoices, staff claims, petty cash, and ensure timely payments
  • Monitor account receivables, follow up on outstanding payments, and issue official receipts
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
  • Maintain and update accounting records and filing systems
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies, SOPs, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate with project teams to verify supporting documents (DOs, POs, invoices, timesheets)
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and government authorities when required
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant working experience (construction/contract-based industry preferred)
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g. SQL, AutoCount, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
  • Good understanding of SST, financial reporting, and basic taxation
  • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and handle multiple deadlines
  • Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English
