Job summary

A leading accounting firm in Malaysia is seeking an experienced Account Executive to maintain financial records and manage client accounts. The ideal candidate will need strong accounting skills, 3-5 years in a similar role, and proficiency in software like QuickBooks and Excel. The role requires working independently and as part of a team, as well as excellent client communication abilities, with fluency in Mandarin being essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for client accounts.

  • Liaise with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with accounting regulations and best practices.

Job description

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple client accounts

Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing and following up on payments

Prepare monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and other key financial reports

Provide guidance to clients on bookkeeping best practices and accounting compliance

Liaise with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders as needed

Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices

Assist with ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required

Organize and archive project records, ensuring accurate and timely data entry, and properly store records.

Process all tax returns

Implement and manage an electronic invoicing system compliant with LHDN requirements.

What we're looking for

3-5 years of experience in a similar account executive or bookkeeping role

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero)

Excellent attention to detail and numeracy skills

Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel

Good communication and client-facing skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

Must be fluent in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking clients
