Job summary

A leading office supplies company located in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking an Accounts Executive/Officer. In this role, you will assist the Chief Accountant with day-to-day operations, prepare full sets of accounts, and ensure compliance with local accounting standards. Candidates should have a minimum Diploma in Accounting and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP, is preferred. This position promises a dynamic work environment with a strong focus on excellence in accounting practices.

Qualifications

  • Must possess minimum Diploma in Accounting/LCCI or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in handling full set of accounts.
  • Familiar with computerized accounting software and ERP system.

  • Ensure transparency and reliability of figures in accounting books.

Responsibilities
  • The Accounts Executive/Officer will assist the Chief Accountant to ensure smooth “day to day” operations of the accounting function.
  • To prepare full set of accounts, including month-end and year-end closing for the company and subsidiary.
  • To ensure transparency and reliability of the figures in the accounting books.
  • To assist the Accountant / Director in liaising with Auditors, Tax and Secretarial personnel.
  • Ensure the compliance with Group procedures and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting, corporate and taxation requirements.
  • To in-charge of employees claims to ensure all claims submission is in timely and process according to requirement.
  • All other adhoc reasonable assignment assigned to you from time to time.
Qualifications
  • Must possess minimum Diploma in Accounting/LCCI or equivalent.
  • Familiar with computerized accounting software and ERP system, preferably SAP; Proficient in MS Office.
  • LCCI is advantage.
  • Effective communicator at all level.
  • Minimum 2 year(s) working experience in handling full set of accounts including monthly and yearly closing.
