A leading recruitment agency in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to manage the recording of invoices and assist in financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Accounting and over 2 years of experience, with proficiency in SQL. Responsibilities include ensuring timely documentation and supporting year-end audits. Excellent communication skills are a must, as you will interact with various stakeholders in the company.
Ensure invoices and credit notes from vendors are properly recorded in accordance with the Company’s procedures and policies, in a timely and accurate manner.
Assist with bank reconciliations on a regular basis.
Generate daily and monthly reports for cash, deposits, credit, and virtual accounts.
Ensure vendors’ invoices and payments are recorded promptly.
Assist with intercompany transactions, reconciliations, monthly account closings, and related schedules.
Ensure proper maintenance of documentation and filing to support all accounting activities.
Assist with year-end audits and preparation of financial statements.
Assist with the preparation of income tax schedules.
Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Diploma in Accounting, preferably with over 2 years of relevant working experience.
Proficiency in SQL.
Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels.
