Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Account Assistant at Brightmount Trading Sdn Bhd located in Selangor, Malaysia. The Account Assistant will be responsible for credit control, managing petty cash, handling finance tasks, effective communication, and basic accounting duties.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in daily accounting operations including data entry, invoice processing, and payment records
  • Handle accounts receivable/payable and issue official receipts
  • Maintain proper filing of accounting documents and records
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in financial transactions
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other departments when necessary
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by superior

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting and/or LCCI qualification
  • 1–3 years of working experience in accounting roles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel; familiar with accounting software such as AutoCount, SQL, or equivalent
  • Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines
  • Able to communicate in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese (to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients/suppliers)
