We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our team at MDS ADVANCE SDN. BHD. in Simpang Ampat Penang. This full-time role will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting support to ensure the smooth running of our financial operations.

What you’ll be doing
  • Ensure accounts payable records are properly maintained and ensure timely payment for suppliers.
  • Perform supplier monthly accounts reconciliation.
  • Update daily cash book, monitor bank balances and perform bank reconciliation.
  • Handle petty cash reimbursement, coding, and entry into the system.
  • Assist with treasury functions by liaising with banks, reviewing claims and invoices prior to processing payment.
  • Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payment.
  • Prepare documentation related to tax incentives, tax returns, and audits.
  • Support HR-related matters.
What we’re looking for
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with financial data.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and spreadsheet applications.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a diploma or degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
