Job summary

A local coffee company in Seberang Perai seeks an Accounting Assistant to support daily accounting tasks, reconcile bank statements, and help prepare financial reports. Candidates should have a diploma or degree in accounting, at least 1 year of related experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Fresh graduates with strong fundamentals are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily accounting tasks, including data entry and document preparation.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial transactions.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support the accounts team in administrative duties and documentation.
  • Liaise with internal departments regarding financial records and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial regulations.
  • Perform ad-hoc administrative tasks such as document filing, report preparation, and assisting other departments when needed.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping (Fresh graduates with strong fundamentals are encouraged to apply!).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SQL, AutoCount, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
