Job summary

Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU) invites applications for academic opportunities in the School of Computing. We seek experts in Web Development, Game Development, and related areas to contribute to teaching and program development.

Academic Opportunities - School of Computing

Computing & Technology

Areas of specialisation

i. Web Development and Applications

• Hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js for server-side operations.
• Understanding of APIs, client–server architecture, and database integration
• Exposure to modern frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Next.js will be advantageous
  

ii. Game Development

• Proficiency in C++ (required) and familiarity with C# or Blueprints (for Unreal/Unity)
• Exposure to game optimization, profiling, and debugging tools.
• Knowledge of multiplayer networking and client-server architectures is a plus.
• Understanding of AI for Games (NPC behaviour, pathfinding, decision trees, state machines) is also a plus.

General requirements

• Candidates should possess at least a Masters’ qualification in their areas of expertise.
  (Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree with at least Five (5) years working experience in the related field will be considered)
• Candidates from the Industry who are willing to explore and make the move to tertiary education are encouraged and welcomed to apply.
• Expatriate candidates are required to possess a PHD and a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience.
