Job description
Overview

This position ensures the college’s academic integrity, compliance with regulatory frameworks, and continuous improvement in teaching quality and student outcomes. The Academic Director will lead efforts to uphold accreditation standards, manage academic operations, and foster an environment of academic excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE), and other regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee the quality and standards of teaching and learning across all academic programs.
  • Manage academic workload policies to maintain a balance between student demands and faculty capacity.
  • Supervise and coordinate internship programs, industry projects, and industry engagement activities.
  • Develop and oversee articulation agreements and pathways with partner institutions to support student mobility and transfer opportunities.
  • Lead curriculum review, development, and innovation to keep academic offerings current and relevant.
  • Monitor and evaluate academic performance, implementing continuous improvement strategies.
  • Oversee faculty recruitment, development, and performance management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance student learning experiences and outcome achievement.
  • Prepare reports related to academic activities, compliance, and quality assurance for senior management and accreditation bodies.
