Sanofi in Malaysia is seeking a Protégé – A2R Trainee in Asset & Treasury Management based at Exchange 106, Kuala Lumpur. The role supports accounting compliance, SOX controls, audits, and statutory reporting, with entry-level exposure to cash transactions, reconciliations, and process improvements through ERP.

The candidate should hold a finance/accounting degree, be fluent in English and Mandarin, and have MS-Excel skills; SAP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting/Finance/Business or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin to effectively engage with stakeholders across the business.
• Preferably with basic working experience in finance/accounting.
• Preferably with SAP knowledge.
• Proficient in MS-Office suite, including MS-Excel.
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently.

Responsabilités

• Ensure SOX and Internal Control Framework compliance across activities, and support Manager/Lead and Country Finance to identify and address any gaps.
• Support external and internal audits by working closely with Manager/Lead and Country Finance
• Support quality reporting of statutory accounts and consolidation packages within local regulatory and Sanofi Group timelines
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company procedures to maintain integrity of financial information.
• Deliver quality data entries of cash transactions and perform reconciliations.
• Participate in accounting/treasury meetings and provide deck preparation and analysis of changes in treasury accounting.
• Keep SOP documentation up to date reflecting latest processes/tools/policies.
• Support monitoring performance against SLAs and propose corrective actions when needed.
• Identify and support improvements across processes and technology including automation and ERP.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure SOX and Internal Control Framework compliance across activities, and support Manager/Lead and Country Finance to identify and address any gaps.
• Support external and internal audits by working closely with Manager/Lead and Country Finance
• Support quality reporting of legal statutory accounts and consolidation packages within the local regulatory and Sanofi Group calendar timeframes
• Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures to ensure integrity of financial information.
• Deliver quality data entries of cash transactions and perform adequate reconciliation.
• Contributed to Accounting or operational meetings, includes deck preparation and detailed analysis and/or explanation of material changes in Treasury accounting.
• Ensure SOP documentations are updated on timely basis to reflect latest process/tool/policy changes.
• Implement and ensure alignment to core model.
• Support Manager/Lead in monitoring performance on a continuous basis against agreed SLAs and define corrective actions, where necessary
• Identify, articulate, or support the improvement areas across processes and technology - including automation, ERP, other tools and solutions.

Qualifications
