Job Responsibilities
- Preparing teaching materials.
- Teaching A-Level subjects: Further Mathematics / Further Mechanics.
- Monitoring and evaluating student’s progress.
- Attending all departmental and staff meetings and other meetings where appropriate.
- Contributing to the development of overall College’s policy.
- Implementing the College’s policy.
- Being present during departmental and staff meetings and other meetings as required.
- Assisting Head of Department to prepare syllabus and schemes of work for courses conducted by the department and reviewing them when necessary.
- Setting an example of good teaching and professional conduct.
- Supporting College’s events and supporting students both in and out of the classroom in a professional manner.
- Preparing students’ reports as per College, Sponsors and Universities requirements.
- Undertaking any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Head of Department, Head of Academic and Principal.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s Degree in the subject discipline.
- A PGCE is desirable if you do not have a teaching degree.
- At least 4 years’ experience teaching A-Level in the subject discipline.
- Aptitude to teach to high ability students with high expectations.
- Demonstrated strategies for moving students from A to A*.
- Ability to plan innovative teaching activities.
- Ability to assist students in US SAT application is an added advantage.
- Experience working in a residential school environment, and supervising extra‑curricular programmes is desirable.
