Work you’ll do

Perform tasks/assignments/working plan in the audit assistant’s scope of work as Audit Associate, under the supervision of the Senior in charge or Manager in charge of each Engagement.

  • Engagement management:
  • Be assigned tasks by the Team leader and/or Associate Senior/Assistant Manager under the allocation/delegation of the Team leader;
  • Ensure understanding of tasks, deadlines, content and presentation of work results, implementation methods and related responsibilities in the process of the work;
  • Discuss professional issues with clients under the consultation/approval of the Audit Team leader;
  • Perform specific tasks according to audit procedures as compliance to DTT methodology as assigned by the team leader, which includes but not limited to (1) assist Team leader to complete documents/reports as allocated and ensure that review notes are reasonably answered on schedule; (2) Assist Team leader to review work of subordinates, ensuring quality of work of the subordinates; (3) Review draft reports before releasing and making reference data; (4) Assist all engagement team members to complete tasks as planned;
  • Perform training‑on‑job, mentoring for subordinates in the engagements;
  • Ensure all Code of Conduct, Ethics, Independence and Security requirements are fully complied. Ensure the confidentiality of the documents and working papers of clients during work process;
  • Learning and Development:
  • Participate in various technical and talent courses in the A&A Learning curriculum designed annually as required for the level;
  • On‑the‑job training by Seniors or Managers through direct interaction on assigned engagements;
  • Self‑develop, both technically and soft skills through self‑paced learning via Deloitte Learning Platforms and Deloitte resources;
  • Ensure the minimum learning hours as required by the Function for the level professional development;
  • Continually develop self to meet with the requirements of the Global Talent Standards (GTS) for Audit and Assurance professionals at associate level. Conduct the capability assessment against the GTS annually to have action plans for self‑development for higher level;
  • Reports and Communication:
  • Regularly report on the progress of the work within the assigned scope to meet the requirements of the content, presentation method and the deadline;
  • Update and get consultation with the team leader when facing difficulties during course of work implementation;
  • Response timely to team leader when requested. Complete working papers at request of the team leader and ensure that the service quality control objectives are met;
  • Stay connected with the team via different communication channels of the Firm, whether working online or offline.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance, banking.
  • Having at least one (01) year experience in performing accounting services or auditing and assurance services to clients.
  • Professional qualification/pursuing professional qualification (ACCA, CPAA, ICAEW) is a preference.
  • Having knowledge or background in computer science, data science, data analytics, programming, Power BI, SQL language is a priority.
  • Excellent English language skills, competent computer skill. Ability to use other languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) is a plus.
  • Good communication skills, analytical thinking, ability to work in team; frequent travelling.
