About the Role

RSGx is seeking a skilled 3D Modeller with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in water and wastewater infrastructure design modelling to join our team. As a member of RSGx, you will engage in a diverse range of design projects, requiring adaptability and problem‑solving skills to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. This position is primarily focused on the development of mechanical and structural 3D models using Autodesk and Tekla software. It involves close collaboration with Senior Engineering team in Australia, who will provide technical guidance as needed. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, autonomy, and the ability to understand and develop design models with only high‑level supervision.

Responsibilities

They will develop deliverables that meet design requirements, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining effective coordination with stakeholders.

Key Skills and Experience Required
  • Experience and competence in Autodesk suite including AutoCAD 3D modelling, Plant 3D, Advance Steel (Inventor is bonus) and Tekla
  • Follow digital engineering principles and project workflows/procedures for the front‑end design, detailing, and submission.
  • Detailed 3D modelling of design.
  • Layout and production of drawings for submission and construction.
  • Understand constructability issues for M&E and structural systems and consult with relevant team members to ensure the works are constructible.
  • Ability to understand design principles and highlight improvements in design.
  • Co‑ordinate consultant and other 3rd party 3D models into the project model using Navigator and review for clashes, errors, and quality of asset data.
  • Ensure the project model is up to date with the most recent information available.
  • Clash detection and coordination with other disciplines.
  • Show a desire for continued development and the ability to undertake tasks that are outside of current expertise.
  • Working in a team environment with the ability to take the initiative to promote positive project outcomes.
  • Communicate with and take direction from the Design Engineers to ensure that requirements are understood and incorporated into deliverables.
