Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Junior/Fresh Graduate Process Engineer to join our team, focusing on optimizing and improving the manufacturing processes for Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA). This is an excellent opportunity for a fresh graduate with a passion for continuous improvement and problem-solving to launch their career in a dynamic high‑tech manufacturing environment.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Process Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor PCBA manufacturing lines (e.g., SMT, Wave Soldering, Testing) to ensure processes are running efficiently, reliably, and consistently meet quality standards.
  • Troubleshooting: Conduct root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventive actions for process‑related defects and equipment failures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities for cost reduction, yield improvement, and cycle‑time optimization using engineering principles and analytical tools.
  • Documentation: Create, review, and maintain process documentation, work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and process control plans.
  • Tooling & Fixture Support: Assist in tooling and fixture design concepts, qualification, and maintenance schedules to maximize tooling life span.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams (e.g., Production, Quality, Maintenance) to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

Education
  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
  • Academic Achievement: Must possess a minimum of 2nd Class Upper Honours (or equivalent) from a Malaysian‑recognised university.

  • Problem‑Solving Skillset: Demonstrated ability to approach manufacturing issues systematically, identify root causes, and propose/implement effective technical solutions.
  • Passion for Improvement: Demonstrated commitment and passion for continuous learning, problem‑solving, and actively seeking and implementing improvements in processes.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, and analyse data to draw logical conclusions.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report findings.
  • Initiative: A proactive and driven attitude, showing initiative to explore solutions and ask pertinent questions.
  • Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of manufacturing principles and process control.
Preferred (Added Advantages)
  • Internship Experience: Prior internship experience in a PCBA manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO) and Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
