General Overview

The Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Process is responsible for designing, developing, deploying and optimizing processes for manufacturing to achieve quality, cost and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers’ products.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • Maintained system development and optimize manufacturing processes from warehouse through to start up until shipment operation.
  • Validate workmanship standards for manufacturing for the purpose improving output quality and efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain routings for manufacturing processes in Shop Floor system & SAP system.
  • Manage production request related to system and hardware issues.
  • Perform system risk assessments during UAT test under new system released.
  • Maintain process documentation including work instructions, quality visual aids, etc.
  • Other duties and assignments as instructed by the department head from time to time.
  • To comply to all requirements of ISO (inclusive of all standards approved by the Management) and to adhere to general safety practices, standard operating procedure.
  • Able to carry out small KAIZEN automation project (Small standalone project).
  • IT related knowledge especially on system design and concept.
  • Knowledge on the MS Office suite especially on Excel (intermediate).
  • Previous experience in internal customer requests, project coordination, or related roles is advantageous.
  • Well-organized, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task with great follow-up skills to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of employees, fostering collaboration and understanding.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to engage and convey information persuasively.
Typical Experience
  • 3 years’ experience in shop floor control system + database concept.
  • SAP basic knowledge.
Typical Education
  • Professional Certificate, Degree/Post Graduate in Information Technology.
