The successful candidate will inspect, maintain, and coordinate calibration activities for measuring equipment, ensuring all equipment is operational. A High School diploma and prior experience in a maquiladora are required. About the Role

This position develops monitoring activities to ensure that all measurement equipment is verified and calibrated based on what is applicable in a timely manner to ensure the daily requirements of the process.

This position operates with established and recognized procedures and operates with minimal supervision.

Coordinates the shipment of equipment for external calibration and develops and maintains internal verification programs.

What You Will Do
  • Inspect, check under scheduled rounds the measuring equipment to ensure that it is in good condition.
  • Maintain the measurement and test equipment used in Harman Tijuana identified and reflecting its physical condition as well as in the calibration database.
  • Coordinate activities that ensure that the calibration log reflects the location and current person in charge of the equipment.
  • Coordinate the external calibration service activities monthly based on the defined instructions.
  • Ensure that the internal verification activities that may exist internally are carried out and that the defined records are being generated.
  • Maintain the calibration certificates of the equipment and the accreditation certificates of the suppliers updated and available where it is defined.
  • Read and interpret the manuals of the measuring equipment.
  • Coordinate activities that ensure that uncalibrated equipment is not used in production areas.
  • Ensure that equipment that is out of use (Scrap) is derecognized (physical and in the calibration system).
  • Carrying out and monitoring the "purchase orders" required by the quality department
  • Support in activities in the document control area.
  • Generation of weekly / monthly reports based on the established KPIs
  • Creation and updating of the SOP’s / OMS’s / SAWI’s corresponding to the activities carried out in this position
  • Comply with the security policies and practices of the area and the company.
  • Support and encourage active participation and comply with the company's values and objectives.
  • Participation in the training and activities required in the department.
  • Support physical inventory activities.
  • Participate as auditor in the assigned LPA audits
What You Need to Be Successful
  • High School
  • 1 year of previous experience in a maquiladora.
  • 6 months of previous experience as a calibration technician.
