A leading manufacturing company in Mexico City is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead their local team, drive efficiency in supply chain processes, and manage interactions across internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in SCM, strong leadership skills, and be comfortable working in an international environment. The role requires both strategic thinking and hands-on management.

Formación

  • Over 10 years of experience in operational tasks, ideally in supply chain management.
  • More than 3 years of team management experience.
  • Deep knowledge in supply chain and CIC management including international business.

Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities
  • Leads the local Supply Chain team (demand and supply planners; logistics clerks, CIC members)

  • Leads Sales and Operations Planning Process for the country

  • Ensures that global processes are followed

  • Drives efficiency of flows from supply planning and execution to customer delivery by optimizing supply chain cost, processes, inventory, sales forecasting and customer interaction, and considering specific customer requests and legal requirements

  • Supports and or participates to local, regional and global projects (process improvements, complexity reduction, portfolio management, new SCM solutions, tender, MoB)

Additional responsibilities
  • Ensures an accurate material flow from suppliers to customers, which results in high stock accuracy; carries out yearly stock taking

  • Selects and defines contract with external logistics-providers and local suppliers (warehouses, assembly, forwarders and packaging). Monitors supplier performance and drives improvement activities

  • Supports customs tasks

  • Supports FHCS audits and the resolution of quality issues

  • Monitors and improves relevant KPIs on a regular base and presents corrective measures in cooperation with all relevant internal & external stakeholders

  • Is member of the country management team

Qualifications:
Professional Experience and Education
  • Master in business administration, industrial engineering or comparable

  • > 10 years’ experience working in operational tasks, ideally in SCM and CIC of an international FMCG organisation

  • > 3 years team management

Specific Knowledge
  • Deep knowledge in all elements of SCM & CIC management, including overseas business

  • Deep user knowledge in Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint

  • Knowledge of all relevant ERP systems (SAP, IBP, ..)

  • Knowledge of complaint management tool CAFE

  • Very good English

  • Strong drive, proactive, result-oriented and eager to learn

  • Team player with strong interpersonal and influencing skills enjoying to work in an international and intercultural environment and a Matrix-organisation
