Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

The Sr. Contracts Analyst will play a key role in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, supporting the International Networks & DTC Latin America business. This position requires a detail-oriented self-starter with strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and comfort working with legal language, business entities, and data systems. Reporting to the Sr. Counsel, Business & Legal Affairs, the Sr. Contracts Analyst will primarily support requests from the Advertising Sales, Marketing, Digital Editorial, Original Productions, Public Relations, and Affiliate teams, while also assisting the broader Latin America Business & Legal Affairs Team. The role involves executing, under attorney supervision, a variety of business and legal affairs functions across all aspects of the International Networks & DTC Latin America division.

Responsibilities
  • Draft and negotiate a variety of agreements and releases related to affiliate/content distribution, programming acquisitions, advertising sales, marketing, finance, original productions, and research-including program license agreements, advertising agency agreements, promotion and sponsorship agreements, media buying agreements, production agreements, talent agreements, professional services agreements, and vendor agreements-ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Maintain and update contract trackers to accurately monitor obligations and deadlines.
  • Update and adapt contract templates for use across Mexico and Central America.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.
  • Manage the contract execution process, including uploading agreements to the document management system, securing approvals, processing signatures via DocuSign, calendaring expiration dates, and distributing fully executed contracts.
  • Lead contract automation workflows for Mexico and Central America for all agreements processed from the Mexico City office.
  • Provide support to internal clients by sending documents, deal information, and clarifying correspondence and deal terms under counsel's guidance.
  • Work closely with business teams to provide documents needed for client onboarding.
  • Review and vet third-party client and vendor forms to ensure compliance with NBCUniversal policies (e.g., privacy and compliance forms).
  • Monitor contract renewals, make informed decisions, and identify when additional information is required.
  • Track and organize legal files in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Research and verify contract information, resolve issues, process data, and correct errors.
  • Partner with NBCU Law Department colleagues to discuss and implement best practices and develop new processes to meet business needs.
  • Support the team with requests related to the Legal document management system.
  • Prepare presentations and executive summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Support regulatory affairs in Mexico, including monitoring and implementing regulatory updates.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings to provide legal and business input.
  • Perform other assignments as requested by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements
  • Licenciatura or higher in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a legal, contracts, or paralegal role.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.
  • Ability to draft and negotiate contracts to a business standard in both Spanish and English.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
  • Sound judgment and decision‑making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across teams and with clients.
