A global healthcare company in Tijuana is seeking a Specialist Production Planning to manage forecasts and ensure inventory optimization. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor of Science degree and 5-7 years of experience in supply chain within high-volume manufacturing. Proficiency in materials planning and inventory management as well as being fully bilingual in English and Spanish are essential for this role.

Formación

Your Role at Baxter

The Specialist Production Planning primary function is to build and load forecast to the MRP to balance demand and supply at the aggregate volumes level with the detail mix level. Also plans and executes materials, capacity, and finished goods inventory levels across multiple Value Streams to assure OTD on target. Functions as the liaison between corporate supply chain functional areas and the Value Stream’s planner / buyers. Assures timely and effective communication signal to the supplier base, to assure supplier’s targeted quality, service and delivery levels. Executes the Master Production Schedule and leads Supply Chain LEAN projects through multiple Value Streams.

In addition, this role could be responsible for tool crib operation, MRO sourcing and acts as the liaison for the site with the corporate strategic sourcing organization

What You'll Be Doing
  • Review, generate, and maintain forecast to ensure consistency on materials replenishment.
  • Responsible to ensure Planner / Buyers updates vendor requirements base on forecast fluctuations. Monthly and Quarterly MPS – Planning and Execution.
  • Responsible to create and coordinate “Operations Reviews” with Value streams. Coordinate with Operations / Planner Buyers to meet production plan requirements and assure customer ship dates achieving OTD targets.
  • Responsible for the capacity planning for the site that align with Sales Forecast. Monitors production activities of critical areas to ensure production commitments are achieved.
  • Responsible for Sales order releases on a rotating basis as need it. Develop finished goods, sub-assemblies and raw material inventory plans to assure targeted KPIs (Inventory, DOH, OTD).
  • Drives and assure inventory optimization thru the different lean’s tools. Quarterly E&O analysis and drives initiatives to reduce exposure to E&O.
  • Coordinates, execute and plans through the plant, supply chain corporate improvement initiatives. Leads Supply chain side of the production transfer projects as well as LEAN projects to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborates and assist with the requirements of Customer service, Sourcing, Marketing, Sales, Global SC and Logistics. On an as-needed basis, provides day-to-day planning / purchasing support to any value stream requiring these additional activities.
  • Responsible for procuring indirect materials. Responsible for accomplishing the VIP indirect targets. Develop, change and maintain standard operating procedures if need it.
What You'll Bring

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing or equivalent.

5-7 years of supply chain experience in a progressive high-volume manufacturing facility with stronger emphasis on purchasing and planning. Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP / ERP) requirements. Inventory management proficiency.

Fully bilingual English and Spanish.
