Location: Hybrid in Monterrey, MX. 8 days a month on-site. Possibility to get a travel or relocation stipend for travel. Type of Employment: contract to hire. Initial 6-12 month contract with pay in USD.

About the Role

We are launching a new delivery accelerator program and are seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer to guide our SRE practice and drive reliability at scale. The ideal candidate will not only design, build, and operate resilient infrastructure but also provide technical leadership, set best practices, and mentor 3 engineers to ensure the reliability and scalability of mission‑critical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership for the SRE team, setting standards for reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Lead the design and implementation of cloud infrastructure and drive adoption of automation, monitoring, and observability solutions.
  • Act as a primary point of escalation for complex technical issues, guiding resolution efforts and ensuring long‑term stability.
  • Partner closely with customers, including LATAM stakeholders, to understand business needs and deliver reliable solutions.
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering an culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot, resolve, and proactively prevent production incidents.
  • Champion innovation by identifying opportunities to optimize systems and processes, introducing new tools and practices where beneficial.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps, including leadership or mentorship responsibilities.
  • Proven track record of designing and operating large‑scale, cloud‑based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Expertise in automation, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and observability tools.
  • Hands‑on experience with containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong communication and customer‑facing skills, capable of working effectively across cultures and geographies.
  • Advanced English proficiency (C1 or C2) with proven success collaborating in global, English‑speaking environments.
