The Sr. Technical Sourcing Manager is responsible and accountable for orchestrating the supplier selection process and part validation process for three major facets of Jabil’s needs: (1) Design, (2) NPI, (3) Risk/Cost Reduction. This position requires situational analysis to leverage Jabil’s Supply Chain and Sourcing organizations as well as Jabil’s tools, templates, and processes to ensure we are identifying, validating, and deploying components into Jabil’s supply base correctly. This role must shift and adapt quickly to changing project requirements and act with a sense of urgency. Support of multiple projects/customers and have direct reports is possible. This role will require direct customer and supplier interface as well as engagement with executive stakeholders.
Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines. Individual may be required to sit, stand, walk regularly and occasionally lift up to 15 lbs. Be accessible to production floor and office staff and to use required office equipment. Specific vision requirements include reading of written documents and use of computer monitor screen frequently. This job may require up to 30% travel.
Individual’s primary workstation is located in the office area. The noise level in this environment is typically low.
