Job Overview

Plan A Technologies is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer who thrives on precision, collaboration, and innovation. This role combines hands‑on manual testing (50%) with test automation (50%), using Playwright and emerging AI‑driven testing tools. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that every release meets the highest standards of performance, reliability, and user experience. If you enjoy blending structured testing methods with cutting‑edge automation practices, this role is for you.

You must have at least 5+ years of experience with manual and automation testing and hands‑on experience with AI tools for testing to be considered for this role.

Job Responsibility

• Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for web and backend systems.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript or Python).
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in test planning, risk analysis, and defect triage meetings.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.).
• Apply AI‑assisted testing approaches to optimize regression coverage and reduce manual effort.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, frameworks, and coverage.
• Stay up to date with QA trends, especially in automation frameworks and AI applications in testing.

Experience

• 5+ years of QA experience, with a balanced focus on manual and automation testing.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright (preferred) or other modern frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, etc.).
• Experience writing and maintaining test automation scripts in JavaScript/TypeScript (or Python).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, etc.).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
• Practical exposure to AI tools for testing (e.g., Testim, Mabl, or AI‑based defect prediction/analysis).
• Solid understanding of version control (Git).
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Initiative and drive to do great things.

Nice to haves

• Experience testing cloud‑based systems (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (K6, JMeter, etc.).
• Background in BDD/TDD frameworks.
• Interest or experience in AI model validation or machine learning testing pipelines.
