Position Description Summary

Defines the Marketing Go-to-Market Strategy and the Communication Strategy in the AMPA (Americas and Pacific region), including USA, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Guatemala, and Australia to reach the expected regional growth as per each country’s strategic plan.

Manages a team of local Marketing Communications representatives (7 people) and defines the Marketing Communications roadmap for the region. Partners and coordinates with internal client groups such as Sales and Marketing Product Managers to ensure the expected sales performance.

Primary Responsibilities

The Regional Marketing Communication Manager works under the strategic direction of the Global Customer Excellence Director and is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of Marketing strategies and associated communications activities within the assigned region in close collaboration and coordination with the business. The main responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Marketing Strategy
  • Defines strategies to promote our products and commercial brands with the goal to support the Sales Target and strategic business growth.
  • Defines the Marketing Communication approach – online & offline – based on segmented customers & customer people.
  • Defines & prioritizes appropriate Marketing Communication channels (online & offline) in line with the business strategy.
  • Prioritizes Marketing Communications projects in coordination with the business and is accountable for the respective deliverables & results.
  • Defines the Marketing Communications budget in alignment with the business strategy and is accountable for budget follow-up & execution in line with global guidelines for the region.
  • Validates and controls the implementation of the local Marketing Communications action plans, while assuring integration of corporate Marketing Communications actions decided at the BU Level.
  • Develops with the team and the business a clear annual roadmap and operational Marketing Communication plan and budget in alignment with the respective Sales Target, and monitors the implementation at regional and local level.
  • Implements the new branding positioning with a clear market impact in terms of brand recognition and penetration.
  • Conducts market research studies and interviews on Customers’ buying journey and communication impact.
  • Establishes and monitors KPIs to measure the financial impact of Marketing efforts (ROI).
  • Participates in Regional Executive meetings and helps the General Managers and Regional VP in leveraging new go-to-market approaches and marketing communication strategies.
  • Is a part of the Marketing Communication Global team and acts as a valuable team member together with the Regional Marketing Communication Managers from Asia & Europe.
  • Manages external parties, e.g., vendors, event planners, agencies, etc. Inspires a solid “customer service” mindset (regarding internal or external clients).
Management
  • Manages and inspires a team composed of local Marketing Communication Leads and is responsible for the team’s professional development and talent management.
  • Provides guidance and advice to the team as needed in order to improve their efficiency and develops the skill level of the local Marketing Communications teams through tools, methodologies, and trainings.
  • Fosters best practice and knowledge sharing across Sales Areas / Regions.
  • Develops managerial routines and forums to steer the team and ensure regional coordination, governance, and execution.
  • Hires, onboards, and develops team members, fostering a culture of professional growth.

  • Leadership – Show proven leadership skills both in a hierarchical and matrix organization. Can influence C-Level stakeholders (Regional VP, Country General Managers).
  • Communication – Strong communication skills with both internal stakeholders and external customers. Strong presentation skills and persuasive approach, being able to adapt to different audiences. Proven experience in Marketing Communication strategies & plans for offline and online audiences. Self motivated and highly organized.
  • Management – Proven efficient team management skills both vertically and horizontally; proven experience in international environments managing different cultures.
  • Results driven – Driven by results and achievement, deadline focused. Proven experience in implementing country and regional marketing and go-to-market strategies.

  • Language – Proficiency in English, Spanish is required (both oral & written). Another language is a plus.
Education & Work Experience Required
  • Education: Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or similar field, MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Marketing with demonstrated abilities to manage both offline and online communication strategies in B2B and B2C businesses.
  • Proficient in MS Office, familiarity with design software (e.g., Photoshop, InDesign…) and content management systems (PIM, DAM, CRMs – e.g., Microsoft Dynamics); experience with digital tools (as APPS, CRM etc) is a plus.
