A leading global logistics company in Mexico is seeking a motivated QAPS Area Manager to lead Quality Assurance and Problem Solve operations. You will ensure the highest quality standards and efficient problem resolution across all operational processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and analytical skills, and a Bachelor's degree is required. Formación

  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • 2 years of strong operations management experience.
  • Supervisory responsibility for a minimum of 100 hourly employees.

Our MXCF Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for motivated, quality-focused individuals who want to join our team as a QAPS Area Manager (Quality Assurance & Problem Solve) at our Fulfillment Center. This critical role ensures the highest standards of quality control and problem resolution across all operational processes.

Key job responsibilities
  • Leading and developing QA and Problem Solve associates
  • Implementing and maintaining quality control processes
  • Analyzing quality metrics and developing action plans
  • Managing escalations and complex problem‑solving scenarios
  • Collaborating with other departments to drive process improvements
  • Ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Supporting inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Developing and implementing preventive measures to reduce errors
  • Maintaining service level agreements through effective quality management
A day in the life

Your primary focus will be leading Quality Assurance and Problem Solve operations within our Fulfillment Center, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficient issue resolution across all processes.

A typical day might look like this
  • Start your day reviewing quality metrics and problem solve backlog from previous shift
  • Lead team huddles to discuss quality goals, critical cases, and address operational concerns
  • Walk the floor to monitor quality control points and observe problem‑solving execution
  • Coordinate with operations teams to implement quality improvements and resolve systemic issuesPartner with process teams to analyze defect trends and develop preventive measures
  • Coach and develop QA and Problem Solve associates through hands‑on feedback
  • Monitor real‑time quality metrics and adjust staffing or processes as needed

About the team

We're launching an exciting new operation in Mexico – our first Storage and Distribution Center (SDC) in the country! This represents a significant milestone in Amazon's growth in Latin America, and you'll be part of the founding team that will shape the future of our upstream operations in the region.

This team will play a crucial role in Amazon's supply chain network, managing the strategic storage and distribution of inventory to multiple Fulfillment Centers across Mexico. We're focused on operational excellence, innovative solutions, and continuous improvement as we establish this key node in our logistics network.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience
  • 3+ years of employee and performance management experience
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • 2 years of strong operations management, proficient in data analysis
  • 3+ years operations management experience in manufacturing, production, distribution environment or related industry
  • Supervisory responsibility for a minimum of 100 hourly employees
  • Excel skills required
  • English proficient – 3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience
  • MBA (optional)
