Role Purpose

In this role your primary purpose will be to partner in the development and execution of the Mexico Property underwriting strategy. You will also support the Active Underwriter and the wider underwriting community across Everest Global Markets in its delivery.

Core Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and price Property risks and determine the acceptability of those risks.
  • Prepare quotations and formal proposals for new and renewed business.
  • Deliver a high response time and quality of service to clients and brokers.
  • Bind coverages subject to your authority level and answer inquiries from producers.
  • Ensure that documentation is completed promptly and accurately according to standards.
  • Work with Property underwriting and departmental workflow systems and processes.
  • Expand the Property portfolio in line with controls underwriting strategy and guidelines while always focusing on bottom‑line underwriting profit and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key brokers and clients.
  • Assists the Head of Property in addressing and resolving overdue workflow and various clerical issues as necessary.
  • Interact and coordinate activities with other departments.
  • Liaise with other underwriting departments as necessary.
  • Recommend new procedures and programs where warranted.
  • Be responsible for complying with proper internal controls.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelors degree or equivalent in business or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of professional work experience in a related field.
  • Fluent in Advanced English as 90% of your activities will be conducted in this language.
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship‑building and development skills.
  • Motivated and results‑driven.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant IT tools.
