An established industry player is seeking a skilled Production Planner to enhance operational efficiency. In this dynamic role, you will develop production plans with a four-week visibility, ensuring alignment with customer demand. Your expertise in inventory management and materials planning will be crucial as you monitor production progress and prepare timely reports. Formación

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position.

Descripción del empleo

1. Develop production plans with four-week visibility, ensuring they are consistent with customer demand.

2. Track sales order shipments to avoid late deliveries to customers.

3. Monitor the progress of production plans.

4. Prepare and present on-time delivery reports.

5. Prepare Capacity vs Demand and Waterfall reports.

6. Negotiate sales order “pull ins” and “push outs” with the Customer Service team.

7. Provide delivery commitments on late orders (Recovery plans).

8. Monitor and analyze demand, its trend, and notify unauthorized changes within lead time (using the Capacity vs Demand Report and Waterfall tools).

9. Prepare material shortage reports and identify the impact on sales, production plans, and customer shipments.

10. Develop overdue order projections with four-week visibility,

11. Request and monitor special crossings of urgent orders.

12. Meet with the Operations, Engineering and Quality teams to monitor the progress of the production plan, analyze potential quality, raw material and/or process problems and propose solutions.

13. Notify CSRs, Area Managers and Materials Managers about orders projected to be shipped after the commitment date,

14. Coordinate with the Purchasing area to ensure adequate inventory levels.

15. Coordinate with the Receiving and Shipping areas to ensure that their activities are consistent and provide the necessary support for both production plans and customer requirements.

16. Interact with the Customer Service areas to ensure that sales orders are correctly created in the system and that there are no problems in making shipments on time.

17. Supports continuous improvement activities within their function (generating and documenting procedures, developing tools/metrics, etc.)

1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related.

2. +5 years' experience in position.
